A man around the age of 60 buys his first corvette.
He has always wanted a vette and finally he has one.
One day he decides to take it for a ride just to see how fast it can really go!
He's out on the highway and he reaches 80....85....90...95.....oops there's the lights!
And a state trooper trys to pull him over!
He says to himself "I can outrun him!" and he reaches 100...105...110...115...he thinks to himself "What in the hell am I doing!"
He pulls over and waits for the state trooper!
Finally the trooper catches up and pulls in behind him.
When the state trooper gets to his window he says"Okay it's 5 minutes to 5PM and I'm just about finished with my shift.
If you can come up with an original excuse that I've never heard, I will let you go!"
So the man leans over & says: "My wife left me 6 months ago for a state trooper. I thought you were trying to bring her back!"
The state trooper says "Okay, you're free to go!"
