RP Question

Hey guys and gals,

I like to request to have my RP as a character instead of MC1 or MC2
so instead of having 2 different RP just 1 based on my toon.

Reasons
1. I cant make it to MC1 Due to fact that i am in hawaii which means i am 6 hours behind u guys
7:30 pm servr time = 1:30 hwaii time = i am still working
i was able to make it on the 1st run b/c i took my vacation to go on MC1 and onxyia(cant always to that)

2. its Not like i have another toon to bring to any raids
3. i can raid only on weekends IF i dont have DUTY(Military term for working 24+ hours)
SO my chanced of raiding is very limited and having points in both types of run kinda dampens everything.
4. Doing MC2 then Doing other runs like Onxyia, AQ and ZG point runs and BWL... they all go to MC1 group points NOT MC2 for me.. so i also loose alot of chances there

i dont have any power to make any decisions but it seems fair to me but the only thing that would bother me is that you would be raiding on 2 different chars and getting double rp then everyone else but i think you covered that in your post. Again i dont have any power im a peon so dont take my word for it but it seems fair to me... :P

I don't think this will work, mainly because I don't think it would make sense to make this exception for one person, and not a whole bunch of other people.

In your case, you're saying the problem is your schedule, ie. sometimes you can attend MC1, sometimes MC2, and sometimes you go on other group 1 raids like BWL/Ony.

But I see this as basically the same problem that TONS of Argos have who are in the MC2 Group. They go to MC2 and get their points, but then they go with group 1 to Ony/BWL. It sucks. Their RP is split in half.

I don't want to open up a huge can of worms here, but really I don't think it would be fair for the officers to make an exception for you and not for a bunch of other people. I mean, you're kind of asking them to change RP around because of how your schedule is, but that kind of defeats the point of RP. RP is about time spent in raids, and the reason there are two groups is so that people who are just starting raiding with us will have a chance at loot in MC2. The people who get the loot in MC2 are the people who have been to all the MC2 raids and therefore have the most RP. The people who get the loot in group 1 raids are the people who regularly go with group 1 and therefore have RP to spend on items.

I agree that your situation sucks, but I just want to point out that
1) The MC1/2 thing sucks for a lot of people. Split RP.
2) I think the officers are working hard to make this better (by starting other group 2 raids hopefully in the future).
3) It wouldn't be fair to make an exception to the rules because of your schedule, because in a lot of ways, RP is all about schedules, time spent, etc.



AND IN CLOSING I would like to say that I don't think it's possible for any RP system to be fair to everyone all the time. But I think the officers work really hard to make things in the Argos fair to a lot of people most of the time. So /cheer for that.

As long as I understand this posting correctly, one cannot interactively use RP collected from both G1 and G2 raids, they stay seperate. HOWEVER, if you are permately changing groups then the RP could permately be xfered. The catcha is that the rp will not be able to go back to G1 if you do that to keep things fair. This should not be a prob anyways since Ony will be added in the g2 runs soon. Of course, such requested are on a toon by toon basis and is naturally not my call :D .
